Dear Highlands Soccer Club Families,
We are two weeks from the start of our 2012 season on Sunday, April 22. Below is necessary information I ask you to please review carefully.
PRACTICE SESSIONS
We have most practice sessions at the Central Park turf fields in the Issaquah Highlands. Due to limited field availability, May 13 and 20 practices will be held at Tibbetts Valley Park in Issaquah. Practices for ages 3 to 5 will be from 3:00 to 3:45 Sundays. Ages 6 to 12 will practice from 4:00 to 5:00 Sundays. It is very important for families to arrive on time as late arrivals can cause disruptions to the team.
PARKING, RESTROOMS
Please consider walking to the Central Park practices. Parking will be limited. Restroom facilities at the field will continue to be limited to porta-potty units this year.
ONFIELD RESTRICTIONS
Per the posted rules, only coaches and players are allowed on the field. Unfortunately, that means families need to remain outside the perimeter fence. Knowing this may present a problem for some young children, we have placed the youngest teams as close as possible to the fence. Also, no chairs, food, gum or drink (other than water) is allowed on the field. These rules are said to protect the field’s surface and not risk voiding its warranty.
SCHEDULE
Our schedule for 2012 is:
April 22, 29
May 6, 13, 20 (5/13, 5/20 at Tibbetts Valley Park)
June 3, 10
Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30
Oct. 7, 14, 21
UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION
If you ordered a uniform during registration, it will be available for you to pick-up on the field at the first practice on 4/22. If your child’s age is 3 to 5, you can pick-up the uniform from 2:30. All others will pick-up their uniforms at 3:45.
MANDATORY WAIVER FORM
All new members of the soccer club are required to complete a 2012 waiver form before any of their children can play on a team. If you have not completed the online form during registration, it must be downloaded at www.hsclub.org/forms and handed-in at the first practice (at the same time as your uniform pickup).
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
In case of poor weather, parents are responsible to check online for cancellations at 2:00 pm Sundays at www.hsclub.org. If a session is canceled, it cannot be rescheduled.
SNACKS
To simplify parents’ responsibilities and field maintenance, we no longer require team snacks. However, water (in a non-disposable, clearly labeled bottle) is highly recommended for your child.
SOCCER EQUIPMENT
It is recommended your child has suitable soccer shoes (cleats or turf) and shin guards. We will have a limited number of soccer balls available, but you should have your child bring their own ball with their name written on it. You will need a size 3 ball for 3-6 year olds and size 4 ball for 7-12 year olds.
Thank you for being a part of our soccer club. I look forward to seeing you on the field.
Sincerely,
Umit Gokce

My 3 1/2 year old daughter is in desperate need to join a team this fall. Her 5 year old brother was able to register, but her age was full. If there is any chance of getting her on a team please contact me at 314-650-5296. Thank you. Matt
Hello! Any chance my 3 year old and/or 5 year old can join a team who needs more players? Appears the league restarts in the fall. We would love to join! Thank you, Ryan Scharnhorst 425-246-4151
